Before establishing Nodelcorp Consulting Inc. in 2002, Joan Nodelman acquired over 25 years of experience in organization, communication, fundraising, education and problem solving in the not-for-profit sector.
Ms. Nodelman is an accomplished problem-solver who has the unique ability to recognize gaps in organizations, processes and management systems. She has proven ability to identify and promote cost effective and pragmatic solutions.
Ms. Nodelman was a vital member of the Nodelcorp team that facilitated the multi-stakeholder process that produced the First National Engineering Assessment of the vulnerability of Canadian public infrastructure to a changing climate.
Ms. Nodelman, played an active role in facilitating five significant engineering vulnerability assessments on highway infrastructure in British Columbia. She helped the B.C. government team identify infrastructure vulnerability to climate events and, building on individual instances of vulnerability, helped the team to identify patterns of overall risk exposure.
Ms. Nodelman was a key member of the Alberta Greenhouse Gas Reporting Technical Working Group and facilitated workshops to gather stakeholder input on the Alberta greenhouse gas reporting program. Later, this work was expanded to cover the National greenhouse gas reporting initiatives of the Canadian Federal Government where she facilitated National workshops on mandatory greenhouse gas reporting
